Weekly playlist: LGBT History Month

Hello, everyone, and happy LGBT History Month! This week, I have a playlist featuring LGBT musicians and artists in celebration of this historic month. We’ve got some of the old greats like David Bowie, Joan Jett and Elton John, who helped pave the way for new LGBT artists like Troye Sivan, Julien Baker and Frank Ocean. There are plenty of musicians throughout history whose accomplishments were simply ignored simply because of the musicians’ sexuality, but I’m thankful we live in a day and age in which we can celebrate our LGBT friends’ art, and, boy, is there a lot of it! Check this playlist out, remember to support your local LGBT artists and remember the struggles our friends underwent in order to get to where we are today.
