Former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze releases statement in response to NCAA ruling

Former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze’s involvement in the penalties announced by the NCAA Committee on Infractions leaves him with a one-year show-cause penalty, and he will also incur a two conference-game suspension if he is hired as a head coach before Nov. 30, 2018. However, Freeze’s punishment does not hinder his ability to be named an assistant coach, effective immediately. Freeze released the following statement regarding today’s events:
