The four-star defensive back from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, adds to an already strong class here in the early recruiting period. McDonald’s announcement makes it 21 commitments for the class of 2020, 16 of which have come in the past month.

The ball hawk snagged six interceptions at Oakland High School during his junior season before impressing at the Ole Miss camp earlier this summer. McDonald, ranked as the No. 28 cornerback in the nation, also had interest from Kentucky, Arkansas and Louisville.

McDonald also participated in The Opening Finals in Frisco, Texas, last weekend along with quarterback Robby Ashford.

He’ll join fellow four-star Eric Reed in the defensive backfield.
