Nominations for Thomas Frist Student Service Award due April 5

University of Mississippi students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends have until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 5, to submit nominations for the Thomas Frist Student Service Award.

The Thomas Frist Student Service Award, now in its 28th year, honors one faculty and one staff member for their exemplary dedication and service to students. The award includes a $1,000 prize and a customized plaque.

“The Frist Award is an outstanding opportunity to recognize individuals who embody the caring and supportive qualities that characterize the Ole Miss spirit,” Chancellor Glenn Boyce said. “Many of our staff and faculty members frequently offer extra time and energy in support of our students, and we are grateful to have an occasion to celebrate their generosity, selflessness and kindness.”

Those who wish to nominate someone are encouraged to cite specific examples of ways in which their nominees have gone above and beyond to support students.

Past honorees include Ashleen Williams, Eden Tanner, Stefan Schulenberg, Brent Cantrell, Michael Barnett, Kerri Scott, Robert Brown, Donald Dyer and more.
