The largest reenactment of the iconic “I AM A MAN” photograph took place on Beale Street in Memphis today commemorating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and the people who participated in the 1968 Sanitation Workers Strike.

The event was led by the Withers Collection Museum and Gallery, the last photography studio of the internationally renowned photojournalist Dr. Ernest C. Withers, Sr. Withers granddaughter, Eboni Bullard took the photo of the event from a helicopter and the new photograph will be displayed at the end of “’68 I AM A MAN,” a feature film executive produced by Southern Tales Entertainment.
