With Malik Dia and Mikeal Brown-Jones already committed and Davis announcing his intent to transfer, recruiting and official visits are heating up at Ole Miss. The Rebels nabbed their third transfer in less than a week, picking up Seton Hall University small forward Dre Davis.
Davis was a strong asset for Seton Hall the past two seasons, ranking as the No. 45 player in the transfer portal and the No. 8 player at his position. He comes to Ole Miss with one year of eligibility remaining.
Before committing to Ole Miss, Davis played for both the University of Louisville. Over his four years of collegiate experience he started 77 games and scored 1,146 points in total.
In his time playing for Louisville, he recorded 370 points, 154 rebounds, 47 assists and 28 steals.
It is clear that Davis is talented on both sides of the ball. This past season as a senior for Seton Hall, he averaged 15 points and six rebounds, while getting 60 assists, 49 blocks and 35 steals, which eventually led the Pirates to an NIT Championship.
Coach Beard and the Rebels continue to welcome potential recruits to Oxford in hopes of leading them to transfer to the Sip.
